Candle Care

Beeswax Candle Information

Beeswax candles clean the air around them when burned. This is acheived because the negative ions produced circulate the air in the room and attract pollutants. Dust, odours, moulds, bacteria, viruses and other toxins are captured and neutralized.  As the candle burns, dust and toxins are convected through the flame.

Beeswax candles burn cleaner, hotter, brighter and longer than other candles.  When beeswax burns it produces a multi-level vibration that calms the inner senses.  This vibration can be observed within the halo surrounding the flame

Tealight/Votive Candle Care

Burn in a tealight cup on a heat resistant surface.  Do NOT place in a container that restricts air flow.  Because Beeswax candles burn hotter than other candles, they also require more air flow.

Taper Candle Care

Burn in a still room with no air currents to avoid dripping. If there is no draft the tapers will not drip down the sides.  Do not trim wick.  To extinguish flame, use a snuffer.  Once extinguished put a drop of wax on the tip of the wick to stop the smouldering.

Pillar Candle Care

To light wick tilt candle slightly.  Always allow the molten pool to melt out near the edge each time the candle is lit. As the molten pool nears the edge, bug in side walls of candle and trim wick to 1/4″ as needed.  Trim wick on an angle.  Push down on top of wicking to open up the fibres.  To extinguish flame, dunk wick in molten pool and then straighten upright.

Never leave a burning candle unattended and ALWAYS place candles on a heat resistant surface!
